These unique pieces have been crafted by the talented London-based artist, Jo Laing, who is celebrated for her exceptional work in illustration, event creative, ceramics, live drawing sessions, large-scale mural painting, and luxury stationery production.
Jo Laing has an impressive portfolio, having collaborated with prestigious brands and private clients such as Jo Malone, Guerlain, Bamford, and Boodles. Her recent passion project, ceramic matchboxes, has garnered widespread acclaim from both customers and the press. Featured in Sheer Luxe, Country Living, The Times and House and Garden magazine, these matchboxes have gained a cult following, with the biggest challenge being keeping them in stock.
Each ceramic matchbox is meticulously handcrafted in Staffordshire, ensuring that every piece is a unique work of art. The brightly coloured matches are from sustainable sources in Sweden. This collaboration with the Gleneagles Hotel marks a significant milestone in Jo’s career, blending her artistic vision with the luxury and elegance that then Gleneagles brand represents.
