A little about me and my artwork…..
I picked up a paintbrush for the first time at the start of 2024, after being signed off from the corporate job I had been in for 22 years. Suffering with emotional burnout and anxiety after a difficult few years, I started painting as a way of focusing my mind on something creative and as a way of being mindful. It calmed my racing thoughts and I loved doing it. More so, it was something I was good at and people were enjoying what I produced.

The more I painted, the more I realised how much I love to create family illustrations; to capture a moment in time and celebrate the connections between the people (and pets) that we love. You will see that I mostly paint people walking away. This is because it is not just our faces that convey the emotion and connections between us. It is shown in the way we lean in towards each other, the hand holding, the head tilts and the synchronicity of our steps. I love to capture all the idiosyncrasies that make us who we are… unique and beautiful.
