About Florence Mytum Ceramics
Florence Mytum Ceramics is an independent ceramics brand run by British artist, Florence Mytum. Florence achieved an MA from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2018 and built her career as an installation artist before launching Florence Mytum Ceramics in 2020. She uses her background as a sculptor to create bold, colourful and tactile ceramics.
Designed with a contemporary take on the ancient craft of pottery, Florence Mytum Ceramics create sculptural vases, playful mugs and colourful candle holders. These pieces are simultaneously decorative, sculptural and functional. In opposition to mass production, everything is thoughtfully designed and ethically handmade in small batches out of their East London studio, making each piece completely unique. Florence Mytum Ceramics are for those looking to support contemporary craft, and invest in quirky, distinctive and handcrafted pieces for their homes.
Florence Mytum Ceramics has been featured in The Times, Elle, Grazia and Homes & Gardens. Their pieces are currently stocked in a variety of lifestyle stores and galleries including Anthropologie, Trouva and Camden Arts Centre. In 2019 Florence was shortlisted for the National Sculpture Prize and was commissioned by ITV to create a sculpture which was broadcast as an ident across national television.
