About Sarah Perry Fine Art
Originally from Cheshire, Sarah now lives in Leeds, West Yorkshire working from her garden studio. Having spent over 30 years in medical research, in 2020 the opportunity came for Sarah to begin a new exciting venture. Combining her love of animals and art, her new career as a full-time pet portrait and animal artist was born.
Although specialising in pastel, Sarah also works in coloured pencil and graphite to produce realistic portraits of people’s gorgeous pets. Having a home mostly run around the life of their whippet, Ned, Sarah totally understands the amazing connection we have with our pets and how incredibly important they are to us. “When drawing a pet or wild animal, it’s the eyes that I focus on initially as that is where our deep bond with them begins”.
Since becoming a full-time artist, Sarah has gained several awards for her work and has exhibited in North Yorkshire. Her work is currently on display at galleries in West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Shropshire. Following her donated portrait of Burrow Seven, the racehorse bought to support Rob Burrow’s MND campaign, her work was also shown on ITV’s Calendar.
From her collection of drawings and commissions, Sarah has created a range of gorgeous giclee prints, limited edition prints, greetings cards and Christmas cards which are the perfect gift for all animal lovers and pet owners. They are all professionally printed locally and to the highest standard and quality. With the environment in mind all cards are wrapped in biodegradable and compostable cello wrap.
